PLAN YOUR VISIT
What to Pack for Tokyo Disney Resort
A useful packing list is less about bringing everything and more about preparing for a long day outdoors, frequent phone use and changing weather. Adjust this checklist to the season and the needs of your group.
Start with the essentials: park ticket, phone, payment method, comfortable shoes, weather protection and any personal medication you need.
Everyday essentials
- Phone: useful for digital tickets, maps, wait times and reservations.
- Portable battery and cable: navigation and app use can drain a phone during a full day.
- Payment method: bring a payment option accepted for your plans and check current payment guidance. A topped-up Suica or compatible IC card is useful for participating vending machines and park shops; keep some yen and a credit card too.
- Small bag: choose something comfortable to carry and easy to access in queues.
- Personal necessities: medication, glasses or contact-lens supplies, tissues and any required care items.
Clothing and footwear
Expect to spend a lot of time walking and standing. Wear broken-in, comfortable shoes rather than new footwear. Check the forecast and choose layers that can be adjusted throughout the day. Seasonal temperatures can feel different in direct sun, wind and after dark.
For hot and sunny weather
- Hat or other sun protection
- Water bottle, while following park rules and available refill arrangements
- Sun protection suitable for you
- Cooling towel or other heat-comfort item
Plan breaks and pay attention to how everyone in the group feels. Do not wait until you feel unwell to seek shade or rest.
For rain or changeable weather
- Compact umbrella or rain jacket
- Water-resistant pouch for your phone and valuables
- Spare socks or a small towel if you expect to get wet
Rain can affect outdoor entertainment and attraction operations. Keep plans flexible and check notices on the day.

Travelling with children
Pack the supplies your child normally needs, such as a change of clothes, snacks where permitted, wipes and comfort items. If using a stroller, check the current park guidance and label it so it is easy to identify. Keep essential items within reach rather than at the bottom of a large bag.
What you may not need
A very large bag, too many spare outfits or equipment you are unlikely to use can make queues and transfers less comfortable. Before leaving, check the resort’s current rules on prohibited items and any restrictions relevant to your plans.
Final checklist before leaving
- Tickets are accessible and the phone is charged.
- The weather forecast has been checked.
- Travel and entry plans are saved.
- Medication and personal essentials are packed.
- The bag is comfortable enough for a full day.
